County says east pond plugged and being aerated; west pond to be pumped and dredged; storage tank inspected, no leak found

East pond: staff said a seep was identified and the pond was plugged. They reported a “low level exceedance” of some stormwater parameters, are aerating the pond, and plan to sample it after roughly two weeks of aeration to allow chemistry to equilibrate.
West pond: staff said pumping difficulties at the existing lift station required bringing in a contractor (Rain for Rent) and a pumping system that can treat leachate and stormwater and route discharge to the publicly owned treatment works (POTW). Once the pond is drained the on‑site contractor will dredge and collect bottom soil samples for analysis; staff said dredging is expected once the pond can be kept sufficiently dewatered, likely within about two weeks if weather cooperates.
Storage tank: staff reported that on April 30 a tank appeared to have floated in its secondary containment. Teams dewatered the containment so the tank would settle upright. The tank showed no signs of leaking. The tank will be cleaned and inspected by the constructing contractor, Southeastern Tank Services (AquaStore materials), with an inspection report to follow. Two 20,000-gallon frac tanks with secondary containment are staged on site as contingency storage.
