On the financial assurance bond: staff reported conflicting information between Republic and TDEC over whether the bond was required at the time of the expansion permit approval and whether TDEC has a copy on file. Staff said the matter is under review and that they will confirm whether a bond was submitted and when it is required under state procedures.
