Health & Welfare committee reviews homelessness, community action agency bill; seeks accounting of $36 million in general assistance

The House Health & Welfare Committee reviewed a draft bill to reorganize community action agencies and expand the state's system for addressing homelessness, including new regional needs-assessment and reporting requirements and several targeted appropriations.
