Boerne ISD board certifies May 3 trustee election, administers oaths and reorganizes leadership

The Boerne ISD Board of Trustees on May 20 formally accepted Kendall County's canvass of the May 3 school-board election, administered oaths to newly elected trustees and completed its annual reorganization of officers.
The board accepted the Kendall County Elections Office report showing 3,229 total votes cast for the May 3 election. The board certified the results as read into the record: Sarah Falconberry (2,271 votes) was elected to Place 4; Garrett Wilson (2,303 votes) was re-elected to Place 5. The board voted to accept and certify the election results without recorded roll-call objections.
Judge Cahoon of the 450th Judicial District Court in Kendall County administered the oath of office to Sarah Falconberry and Garrett Wilson at the meeting.
Following the canvass and oath, board members conducted the annual reorganization. A motion carried to elect the following officers for the coming year: Christy Schmidt as board president, Courtney Darter Bruce as vice president, and Rich Senna as secretary.
All actions on certification, swearing-in and officer elections were approved by motion on the consent/agendized actions during the open session. No additional policy changes were made at the reorganization.
Trustees and attendees took photos with the newly sworn members before proceeding to other agenda items.
