The Hunt County Commissioners Court approved a change order to an existing Tyler Technologies contract to remove ArcGIS Pro licensing from the vendor scope and add Tyler’s GIS services for the first year.
County staff explained Tyler had included ArcGIS Pro in the original contract for a $7,700 license fee, but “Tyler and ArcGIS aren't friends anymore, so they're not providing that service,” and the county purchased ArcGIS software directly from Esri at a lower price. The staff member said the county paid Esri about $4,000 for the ArcGIS license.
The approved change order reduces the Tyler contract by the ArcGIS Pro line item and adds about $6,200 for Tyler’s GIS services in year one to build and merge datasets for public-safety use. Staff said the GIS work will create an integrated foundation the county’s data coordinator and appraisal district can maintain going forward. The court approved the change order by voice vote; a motion carried without recorded roll-call tallies.
