Another commissioner seconded the motion; the vote recorded "Aye" from those present and the motion passed.
A commissioner who opposed rescinding the purchase expressed regret, saying the administration missed an opportunity to invest Public Building Authority funds in county infrastructure and that the purchase could have generated revenue without raising taxes. The board recorded the rescission and did not adopt an alternative site or purchase at the meeting.
The action removes the county from the purchase agreement and returns parties to the status prior to the agreement; no litigation or follow-up disposition was discussed on the public record at the meeting.
