Ocean Shores Planning Commission members on Tuesday approved wording additions to municipal code addressing roofing warranties, nonaccessory-structure exterior materials and related siding provisions and agreed to consolidate overlapping siding language before submitting the package to the City Council.
The revisions add a sentence requiring manufacturers’ warranties for roofing and fasteners, update materials allowed on the exterior walls of nonaccessory sheds, and clarify where architectural metal siding may be permitted, the commission said. Commissioners committed to removing a conflicting sentence and placing all siding and roofing provisions together to avoid enforcement confusion.
