The committee approved the charter by voice vote; members said the next step is to forward the approved charter to the Ocean Shores City Council for its review.
Committee members discussed producing a one‑page summary of the charter for posting and website updates. They also asked staff to consolidate the charter document onto a single page for distribution. The group agreed that meetings will be held at least once per calendar quarter under the new charter.
The committee did not take any separate policy actions beyond approving the charter; members noted the council would have final review of charter documents.
The committee also requested that whoever maintains the city web pages update committee names after the charter is filed with council.
