Waukegan CUSD 60 to hold preschool walk-in registration May 17 for 2025-26 year

Waukegan Public Schools will host a preschool walk-in registration event on Saturday, May 17, at the district Welcome Center for the 2025-26 school year, district communications director Nikos Salazakis said.
The district said openings are available for 3- and 4-year-olds and for children who will turn 5 after Sept. 1. Parents may select half-day or full-day preschool options where space allows; the district also said a two-way bilingual program will be offered based on availability.
Families were instructed to bring a child’s birth certificate, two proofs of residency and proof of income. Officials provided a contact email, prek@wps60.org, and a phone number, (224) 303-1135, for additional questions and details.
Salazakis presented the registration details as part of the district's weekly update for the week of May 5.
