Germantown details multiple reconstruction projects, including Rockfield and Pleasant View roads

Village Engineer Kevin Driscoll and Public Works Director Matt Mortwood described several multi-mile reconstruction projects scheduled for spring–fall 2025 and beyond, including Rockfield Road, Pleasant View Road, High Point Pass and Division Road.
Driscoll said Rockfield Road is about 2.75 miles and is under contract for spring–summer 2025 construction with completion expected this fall. He said Paine and Dolan will perform paving work and that village staff will provide inspection. The project will include culvert replacement work, temporary detours and road closures.
Pleasant View Road (Bonneywell to Lovers Lane), adjacent to Rockfield Road, is planned as a 1.5-mile rural reconstruction with culvert replacements and similar temporary detours; Wolf Paving is listed as the contractor. Driscoll said both Rockfield and Pleasant View are included in the Department of Transportation Agricultural Road Improvement Program and that municipalities will receive 90% reimbursement for completed work.
Driscoll also described a TID project — High Point Pass — a new urban road segment south of Holy Hill Road off Interstate 41. The contract was awarded to Vinton with R.A. Smith handling construction inspection; Driscoll corrected the planned length on-screen to a quarter-mile (about 1,500 feet). He said traffic-control modifications and outreach to adjacent businesses are planned during construction.
Division Road is under design by DPW engineering staff and is aimed at stormwater and path improvements along with selected curb work; Driscoll said the northern phase north of Jefferson Ditch may be advertised for construction this fall if permitting proceeds as planned, with the southern phase following in 2026. Maple Road (Landon Road to Interstate 41) also appears on the program for reconstruction.
Driscoll noted routine utility coordination and that construction inspection will be completed by village staff or assigned consultants. Several projects were described as subject to permitting and staged phasing; road closures and detours were repeatedly flagged as likely during culvert and reconstruction work.
