Waterville City Council introduced Tiffany Bachman as the city’s new finance director during the May 12 meeting. John (staff) announced the hire and summarized her municipal background; Bachman spoke briefly about her experience and her interest in municipal government.
Council described Bachman’s background as including an associate degree from NW State and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Wards University, municipal experience in Waseon and the village of Whitehouse, and recent work in accounts receivable and payable at Bowling Green State University. Bachman said she has been in municipal government for many years and expressed enthusiasm for serving Waterville.
Council members welcomed Bachman and thanked her for joining city staff; no formal council vote was required for the introduction.
Why it matters: the finance director is responsible for the city’s financial management and reporting, and the hire completes a key administrative role ahead of summer fiscal work.
