Waukegan CUSD 60 staff reported on May 13 that referrals to the district Wraparound Center have increased by almost 50% since the district’s previous update.
District materials attached to the operational services agenda summarized usage and referral growth; staff said the center serves students and adults and that the program remains a significant district investment. Board members urged staff to increase community outreach and school-level coordination so families and school leaders are aware of the services available.
Staff noted the Wraparound Center’s role in coordinating school-based services and recommended continued promotion through school visits and partner outreach. Board members requested periodic check-ins on how the center’s work is aligning with in‑school supports and recommended aggressive promotion so community members can access services when needed.
Administrators said they will continue to track referrals and report usage patterns back to the board on a regular basis.
