The plan requests $59,000 in CSI funding for the next year; the proposed budget items include partial salaries (continuing a 0.5 FTE ELD teacher), an outreach coordinator role, additional days for Catapult consultants, materials and supplies, and the ability to adjust newcomer services as needed.
A motion to approve the Parkside CSI plan was moved and seconded during the meeting; the board voted unanimously to approve the item. District staff said the approved plan will be submitted to the state and that final allocations will be adjusted as state and title funding are reconciled.
Board members praised the local control the plan enables and asked staff to continue monitoring outcomes as the work proceeds.
