Reentry program staff presented program statistics covering adult probation officer (APO) caseloads, GPS and alcohol monitoring, in‑prison reentry intakes, transitional action plans and referrals.
Staff reported a total program population of 97 as of May 1: 71 male clients and 26 female clients. Program phase counts included 50 in phase 2 and 26 in phase 3, with 2,176 total process intakes to date. GPS/alcohol monitoring services had 25 active clients: 9 on alcohol monitors (TAD units), 5 on GPS monitors, 9 on HomeGuard units and 2 on breathalyzers; total intakes into GPS/alcohol monitoring services were 2,198. The juvenile overview listed 25 active GPS cases as of May 1.
In‑prison reentry: 41 active participants as of April 30, with 2 pending intakes; since January there have been 41 total intakes, 13 completed in April (10 at the release center and 3 at the jail). Staff reported 41 transitional action plans created (13 in April) and 26 sessions completed (3 in April). The total participants released from incarceration who were in the in‑prison program numbered 35. For referrals: 50 total referrals to the in‑prison reentry program (47 from the jail, 3 from the release center); of those referrals 9 refused participation and 2 were released before being seen. For April specifically there were 13 referrals broken down as: 4 probation violations, 2 maxed outs, 3 contempt, 11 domestics, and 30 new cases (these counts reflect the transcript's presentation).
Staff also listed reentry services statistics: average daily population 108, 13 total intakes, 24 discharges, and 10 successful completions for the reporting period. Electronic monitoring (EM) totals were given as 31 adult, 23 juvenile and 63 pretrial participants (transcript lists a combined figure). The figures were presented as informational; the board did not take formal action on these program statistics during the meeting.
