Trailer-park sewer work, new docks and Cottonwood trail repairs outlined by parks staff

Parks staff reported that sewer maintenance is underway in the trailer park to address root intrusion and an electrical wire that was bored through a sewer line; staff said a camera inspection located the problem and that an electrician is needed to reroute wiring before a plumber can patch the sewer.

Staff said a contractor applied a foam-like root-dissolving treatment to sections of sewer line and that docks at the reservoir have been installed and aligned; the reservoir recreational level was reported at 5,500 feet and staff said all docks should be available for use as conditions allow.

Parks staff said the Central Wyoming Trail Alliance (CWTA) has committed to trail repairs on the Cottonwood Dinosaur Trail, including a bridge replacement and trail rebuilding; CWTA will provide technical assistance and labor under a collaborative arrangement, and staff said CWTA was scheduled to perform repairs this fall but might be able to do the work sooner.

On finance, staff said lot-rent payments for cabins, trailers and marinas are due May 19 and that most payments come in on time; one outstanding lot-rent account from last year is under communication and staff said they have not yet referred the matter to legal for collection.

Staff also said new informational kiosks have been updated with laminated maps and rules and that staff will install those before Memorial Day. Where boat-launch docks are present, staff will place signage prohibiting fishing on launch docks to reduce conflicts with boat-launch operations.
