The Bedford Town Council on April 20 approved a slate of reappointments and new appointments to town boards and commissions, accepted a memorial bench donation for Benedictine Park and approved several procedural items including BCTV/WBNH policy updates and meeting minutes.
Appointments approved included reappointments and placements on the Planning Board, Zoning Board, Conservation Commission, Parks and Recreation, Historic District Commission, Energy Commission, Highway Safety Committee, Water & Sewer Advisory Committee, BCTV/WBNH board and Cemetery Trustees. The council also appointed Susan (Sue) Thomas as town treasurer for a term ending May 2026 (see separate article on Thomas’ interview and appointment).
The council voted to accept a donated bench for Benedictine Park from Nicole Peterson in accordance with RSA 31:95‑e; the recreation department confirmed space is available for the bench.
Council members approved revisions to BCTV/WBNH policies as recommended by the station board and approved interview, public session and nonpublic session minutes from the April 9, 2025 meetings. Each motion was moved, seconded and carried by roll-call or voice vote as recorded in the meeting transcript and minutes.
A final slate motion packaged the individual appointment votes and passed; one councilor recorded a single nay on the package for a personal preference on a cemetery trustee candidate but the overall slate carried. The council then entered nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A for specified statutory reasons.
