The report noted the county’s community pharmacy is expected to begin operations in January 2027; the pilot is meant to run ahead of that opening so organizers can refine a model for social prescription in rural settings and provide examples for statewide use. The board member said the pilot is deliberately small “so that we can work out the case before something like this could expand out.”
