The Lake Forest Park City Council on May 8 authorized an amendment to the city’s professional-services agreement with Transportation Solutions Inc. to add construction management for the State Route 104 (Fortieth Place NE) roundabout project.
Public Works staff explained the amendment covers two components: construction management services to be provided by a firm called CONSORT (about $600,000), and additional work from the city’s design consultant, Transportation Solutions, Inc. (about $74,000), plus subconsultant costs of roughly $77,000. City staff rounded the total to approximately $750,000.
Staff noted the city’s capital-improvement program (CIP) currently allocates $625,000 for the project, creating an approximately $125,000 deficit. Miss Phillips, the project presenter, told the council the shortfall “could be offset by the Transportation Benefit District or by revenue from the traffic cameras.”
The council voted to suspend the city’s three‑touch rule for the resolution so the amendment could proceed at this meeting. After a motion and second the council adopted Resolution 25‑2015 authorizing the mayor to sign Amendment No. 3 to professional-services agreement AG‑21‑002 with Transportation Solutions Inc. for the SR‑104/Fortieth Place NE roundabout project. The vote was unanimous.
