Sun City West reports Echo Mesa irrigation ahead of schedule; TIFTUF sod and turf conversions planned

Environmental services updated the Sun City West Golf Committee on May 8 that the Echo Mesa irrigation project is progressing ahead of schedule and that several course renovation tasks are planned this summer.
Todd Paddy, environmental services presenter, told the committee Holes 6–9 at Echo Mesa have completed mainline and lateral irrigation installation, and those areas plus the chipping green, driving-range tee and driving-range floor are being watered with the new system. Paddy said the contractor was about one week ahead of schedule and that the current completion date is August 29.
