Scottsbluff City Council approved a change of location for Rositas’ liquor license, granted a special designated liquor license for a June fundraising event, and approved a series of monthly festival permits for FlyOver Brewing Company’s “Eggs and Kegs.”
Mary Flores, who identified herself as owner of Rositas, told the council she is relocating the restaurant from 1205 East Overland to 1408 Circle Drive and does not plan to expand seating; she said the new location likely will seat “probably, like, a hundred.” The council voted to approve the license transfer.
The council also approved a special designated liquor license for Next Young Professionals to serve beer, wine and distilled spirits at a beer and wine fest on June 7, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Eighteenth Street Plaza. Council members asked about security and wristbanding; the event organizer confirmed security and wristbands would be used.
Haley, manager of FlyOver Brewing Company, asked the council to approve nine monthly festival permits to allow a food truck to park on Broadway in front of FlyOver for the monthly Eggs and Kegs events, scheduled the third Thursday of each month from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. She said the food truck parking is intended to increase downtown visibility and encourage morning customers; council approved the permits and associated noise and parking allowances.
Council members voiced general support for the businesses and wished them luck; no substantive opposition or conditions were recorded on the record.
