The committee was told the county previously built a similar 10‑by‑14 unit in house for about $7,000 in materials but that in‑house construction required two to three months of staff time. Staff also said delivery charges are likely and estimated a delivery fee around $750.
Members discussed options to have the vendor supply a shell and let county crews finish electrical and plumbing to reduce cost. The committee agreed to put the bid on the full board agenda for formal approval and to explore delivery and finish options.
