Newly seated CUSD 200 board accepts certified results, administers oaths and elects officers

At its May 8 meeting the Wheaton Warrenville CUSD 200 Board of Education accepted the April 1 certified election results, administered the oath to newly elected member Eric Jerpi, and elected Rob Hamlin president, Julie Cullovitz vice president and Dave Long secretary; the board also adopted its 2025–26 meeting calendar.
The Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 Board of Education on May 8 acknowledged receipt of the certified April 1, 2025 election results, administered oaths of office to newly seated members and reorganized leadership for the coming year.
Doctor Schuler recommended the board accept the certified election results; the board moved to accept (motion by Eric Jerpi; second by Miss Blattner) and adopted the results by roll call. The board then conducted a public oath of office, with Eric Jerpi reciting the oath in open session.
Following the oath, the board opened nominations for officers. Members nominated Rob Hamlin for president (no other nominations). The board voted by roll call to elect Rob Hamlin as president. Julie Cullovitz was nominated and elected vice president; Dave Long was nominated and elected secretary. Roll calls were recorded for each officer election.
The board also adopted its 2025–26 meeting calendar, which begins with a July regular meeting and generally follows the district’s pattern of holding regular meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. The calendar posted four “Coffee with the Board” sessions (September, December, February and April), five committee‑of‑the‑whole dates in which applicable, and two special meetings in May and June to accommodate construction bid approvals for middle school projects. Regular meetings are posted for 7 p.m.; coffee sessions are scheduled for 9 a.m.
Board members asked for committee assignment details; the president said assignments had been decided but that he would report them at the next meeting. No public comments were offered during the open session portion of reorganization business.
