Carter agreed to clarify wording on the floor to avoid future redistricting technicalities by referencing the federal representative who covers Algiers rather than a fixed numbered district if necessary.
On a motion by Sen. Cathy, the committee reported SB204 favorably. The bill will move to the full Senate for consideration.
