District report: four new math coaches, credit-recovery and dual-enrollment options tied to Numeracy Act funding

The district report said four new math coaches were assigned to specific schools: Danville (sharing with Danville Middle), Union Hill, Foulfoil Elementary and "Kataka" (as transcribed). Staff also said Lacey Springs, Westmoreland Elementary and Westmoreland Middle were reapproved to receive math-coach support. "Numeracy Act continues and each year, they're gonna add more and more math coaches. So we received 4 new, math coaches at different locations," the staff member said.

The report described the "Move On When Ready" act as likely to pass and said, if enacted as discussed by staff, 11th- and 12th-grade students who start college classes early would not be considered returning high school students. Staff framed that as an upcoming change rather than a current district policy.
