Council grants minor modification to Taronga Indian Street Food to extend hours to 10 p.m.

The Reuben City Council on July 15 approved a minor modification to a previously issued special permit for Taronga Indian Street Food, permitting the restaurant to extend its operating hours from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. The restaurant is operated by Sri Ganraj LLC at 300 Trade Center Suite (A Hundred Sylvan Road).
Devana, a part owner of the restaurant, told the council the extension responds to customer demand for later dining. Councilor Manville visited the site and raised three concerns: whether Cummings Properties (the building manager) had been consulted about shared restroom access in the common-corridor building, whether Cummings had agreed to the later hours, and whether exterior lighting at the rear entrance would be adequate for late-night foot traffic. Councilor Manville requested a written communication from Cummings Properties to be filed with the city clerk confirming their agreement and any access arrangements.
Devana said the restaurant has already spoken with Cummings Properties and that Cummings "are okay with all the hours" and had discussed options for weekend parking access; Devana also confirmed that restroom access and exterior lighting arrangements were acceptable to the property manager. Councilors voted to grant the minor modification, and the council asked the petitioner to provide any supporting communication from Cummings Properties to the clerk’s office to be made part of the permanent record.
The council opened the petition for comment, heard from the petitioner, and approved the modification by voice vote. No public objection was recorded.
