Concord City Council accepted a preliminary application from Steven McDonald for water and sewer service for property at 5040 Flow Store Road and, following staff recommendation, approved the application without requiring annexation.
Jackie presented the item and noted that sewer is available to the parcel via a Wasatch interceptor line and that Wasatch had agreed to provide service if council approved. Staff recommended excluding annexation from the service agreement at this time. Valerie, the city attorney/staff, was available to address legal matters if necessary.
Council moved and seconded to approve the application as submitted; after brief thanks to staff for additional research, council voted by hand to accept the application. Staff said the action allows utility connection outside city limits under the city’s policies and that details of service provision would follow the city’s usual interlocal and service agreements.
