The Prescott Valley Town Council voted unanimously to recommend approval of two Series 12 restaurant liquor-license applications to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.
Clerk of the council reported that Natasha Villalobos filed an application as agent on behalf of La Casita Prescott Valley, proposed at 8449 East Faust Drive. The required 20-day posting on the business premises produced no arguments for or against the license, and the council held a public hearing with no speakers. A council member moved to recommend approval and the clerk announced the motion passed unanimously.
The council then opened and closed a separate public hearing for a Series 12 application filed by agent Jeffrey Miller on behalf of Sakura Japanese Hibachi Grill and Sushi Bar at 6648 North Viewpoint Drive, suite 1–2. The premises posting produced no arguments in favor of or opposed to the issuance. A council member moved to recommend approval of the license to the state and the council voted unanimously to recommend the license to the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.
Both actions were recommendations to the state licensing agency; final authority to issue the licenses rests with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.
