MOUNT VERNON, May 7, 2025 — The Mount Vernon Board of Zoning Appeals on Wednesday approved a variance to allow a small, substandard parcel to be subdivided from 500 North Main Street and transferred to the adjacent property at 3 East Pleasant Street to create a legal on-site parking area.
The variance, for departures from the city’s minimum lot-size rules under Mount Vernon City Code section 1103.09(e), permits the creation of a roughly 0.016-acre piece measuring about 34 feet by 20.94 feet from the northeast corner of 500 North Main Street to be attached to 3 East Pleasant Street.
