Staff reported the borough has a grant and a municipal match for the Route 48 upgrade and that PennDOT coordination is under way. Officials also explained that synchronizing lights along Northern Pike (a separate stretch discussed by a resident) faces challenges because of distance and elevation between signals, which hinders communication between controllers. The borough said engineering and grant details will be included in the resolution scheduled for council consideration at the May 13 regular meeting.
