Starpoint approves technology director, hires new high school math teacher; Krasminski to resign

The STARPOINT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT board accepted the resignation of Joseph Krasminski, effective June 9, and appointed Nicole Holler as director of technology (effective June 9, 2025) and Sarah Dower as a probationary high-school math teacher (effective Aug. 26, 2025). The motions to accept the separations and appointments were moved and approved during the meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Croft praised Krasminski’s service and said Krasminski is leaving to pursue a graduate program at Notre Dame. Dr. Croft thanked him and the board offered best wishes.
Nicole Holler spoke briefly during the meeting by video and said she is “so thrilled to be joining the Starpoint family” and looks forward to meeting staff and students. Holler’s background, as presented by Dr. Croft, includes instructional-technology coaching and STEM coordination experience in Orchard Park and two years as an assistant principal at Windermere Elementary in Amherst.
Sarah Dower was hired out of undergraduate training after a hiring process that included screening and a demonstration lesson. The board approved additional personnel and operational items on the consent agenda, including receipts of donations and vendor contracts for prekindergarten services with Bunny Bunch Daycare Inc. and a Small World Childcare contract; administrators also approved a senior class field trip to New York City, Nov. 9–11, 2025.
The meeting also included recognition and tenure acknowledgments for multiple staff members across the district: among those named were Elizabeth DeMarco, Katie Harmon, Courtney Wendt, Amanda Bryer, Kelsey Hartman, Jessica Pluniak, Danielle Puino, Megan Bryer, Jenna Eberly and Kristen Grabowski. The superintendent noted several teachers had helped produce improved literacy scores and commended the district’s career-and-technical students who placed in regional competition.
All personnel motions shown on the agenda were approved by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes provided during the session.
