WOBURN, Sept. 11, 2025 — Homeowner Scott Berkey told the Woburn Conservation Commission he reconfigured a proposed in‑ground pool and patio on Evangeline Lane so the installation no longer touches the commission’s 25‑foot no‑disturb buffer. Commissioners who visited the site confirmed the pool and patio lie outside the buffer, and the commission closed the public hearing.
Berkey said he “went back to the drawing board” and worked with the pool company to reconfigure and reposition the pool. Commissioners who inspected the property said they were pleased with the change. "I just wanna say thank you… very, very well done," one commissioner said.
With no members of the public speaking on the matter, a commissioner moved to close the public hearing; the motion carried by voice vote. The chair noted the applicant has 21 days to file required paperwork following the closure.
