Lisa Lane subdivision review held as engineering staff backlog delays comment turnaround

The Development Review Committee on May 7 reviewed the Lisa Lane subdivision construction-site plan for 11 single-family lots and noted that city engineering is currently backlogged, delaying comment turnaround.
Amir Hamza, the DRC project manager, said the subdivision is below the 25-unit threshold so it will not require planning commission or city council public hearings; only the plat will proceed through those bodies. The applicant representative, Josh Enod of Kimley-Horn (as spoken), asked when engineering comments would be ready given the department’s workload. City staff said engineering will provide comments as soon as possible and noted the department is short-staffed but in the process of hiring two engineers within the next three to four weeks.
Staff advised the applicant to expect engineering comments in due course; no DRC action was taken and departmental representatives recorded no technical objections at the meeting.
