The Waukee City Council approved a resolution accepting the site plan for Iowa Ortho’s proposed single‑story medical office at 2425 Grand Prairie Parkway.
Melissa, city staff, described the project as a single‑story building of just under 16,000 square feet and about 19 feet in height, with the main entrance and canopy along the west elevation facing Grand Prairie Parkway. The site plan shows a service drive and loading zone on the north side, a trash enclosure at the northeast corner, and pedestrian access from a 10‑foot trail along Grand Prairie Parkway; a 10‑foot trail will also be constructed along Southeast Tallgrass Lane.
Melissa said stormwater detention will be provided using an existing pond located off‑site to the east; parking and landscaping requirements are being met. Staff recommended approval of the site plan. The council voted Yes (unanimous among members present) to approve the resolution.
