The LaSalle County Board on May 8 approved a special-use permit (25-10) permitting JP Landscaping and Moore LLC, with applicant Jose Escatel, to operate a landscaping business at 4295 East Seventh Road in Mendota (Meriden Township).
At a prior public hearing, the LaSalle County Zoning Board of Appeals recommended unanimous approval. County staff explained the petitioner intends to place a small storage structure and bays for landscaping materials in the southwest corner of the property. The property is in an A-1 agricultural district; the permit was authorized under section 7.1-4(s) of the LaSalle County Zoning Ordinance.
The board approved the corrected PIN number (02-31-204-000) and voted to grant the special use after a staff presentation. The motion to approve was made by Miss Bright and seconded by Miss Zurich and carried by voice vote.
The resolution states the ordinance takes effect upon passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form; the board did not record additional operational conditions in the meeting motion.
