The Waukee City Council approved the third and final reading of an ordinance rezoning a 1.95‑acre parcel known as I‑80 West Industrial from A‑1 and C‑1 to M‑1.
Melissa, city staff, told the council the parcel is located north of Interstate Parkway and Westview Avenue, contains 1.95 acres and that staff recommended approval of the final reading of the rezoning. Melissa said she had “nothing further to add at this time” and offered to answer questions.
A motion to approve the third reading and place the ordinance on final passage passed on a roll‑call vote with Yes from Council member Grove, Council member Sinclair, Council member Kron, Council member Pierce and Council member Battenberg. The mayor was absent.
