PG&E donates funds for two AEDs; city to install units at Little League concession stand and police lobby

City Manager Trejo told council that PG&E responded to a city request to purchase two AED machines, one for the Little League concession stand and one for the police department lobby. Trejo invited the corporate representative and Little League volunteers to the meeting for the public recognition.
Nathan Alonso, PG&Es local government affairs representative, said, "It is, with a great deal of joy that we're donating the funding for something quite, this electrifying, and we hope that nobody has to use it in an unfortunate situation, but it's always better to be prepared than not." Alonso added the company is "happy to do this and anything else that we can for this community."
The city will install one AED at the Little League concession stand and a second unit in the police department lobby, officials said. Councilmembers and attendees posed for a photo and brief demonstration after the presentation.
This item was presented as a community recognition; there was no separate council vote recorded on the donation during the meeting.
