The system includes fixed and pan-tilt-zoom cameras mounted to 46-foot poles and a network of small GPS “anchor” antennas mounted at about 16 feet on new and existing posts. The applicant said most anchors will be attached to existing light poles, net posts or buildings and that data and video feeds will be hardwired back to the principal building.
Nick Rascioppi, attorney for the applicant, told the board the technology “is really critical and essential to the purpose, the use, and the performance of the practice facility operation.” Engineer Richard Barrington and project consultant John Amorosa described the system’s technical details and how it would be installed on fields 1–4 and 6–8, with a limited camera configuration for Field 5 and no tracking for the half-field 7A.
