Scope and funding Council heard two components of funding during the April 14 session: a CIP appropriation for physical and technology buildout (about $2 million in capital across the CIP) and an operating supplement to support staff and software licensing. Staff said the total operating request in the recommended budget covers salaries for three police positions and one information‑technology position as well as software and other recurring expenses; operating funding is phased with new hires budgeted for half a year in FY26.
Purpose and staffing The center is intended to provide consolidated analytics, video and intelligence tools to support police operations. Staff said the buildout will include hardware, software and workspace improvements and that one of the four funded positions will be in IT to support the center's technology needs.
