Glynn County Board approves 74 CUVA/FLPA entries for 2025 digest; includes Weyerhaeuser renewals

Brian Bliss, chief appraiser, told the board that the packet before members lists the new CUVA and FLPA applications and that assessment classes will identify small and large tracts. He said many of the entries are renewals: “Weyerhaeuser, their covenant expired in '24. So they came forward ... with a brand new, 10 year covenant,” and that when the list shows “Weyerhaeuser” those are renewals.
A board member asked how many of the 74 entries were renewals versus new applications; Bliss said the office did not break that down in the packet but indicated the majority are renewals. The board approved the list by voice vote with no recorded opposition in the transcript.
The action was procedural: the board recorded approval so staff can incorporate the CUVA/FLPA entries into the assessment notes for the 2025 digest.
