Houston County officials at an administrative meeting discussed a request from the town of Kinsey for reimbursement of $32,803.75 from Series 2025 bond proceeds for pickleball court improvements.
An unidentified meeting official said the county previously approved funding covering paint for the courts but that the town later submitted documentation for concrete poured on the project. "This is for some concrete that was poured... They didn't think that they were gonna get reimbursed for this. I told them that they probably could if they turned it in. They turned it in," the official said.
The reimbursement request was submitted to be placed on the commission’s Monday agenda; no objection to placing the item on the agenda was recorded in the administrative meeting. The county packet identifies Series 2025 bond proceeds as the funding source for the reimbursement request.
County staff did not take final action at the administrative meeting; the request was scheduled for consideration at the regular meeting.
