The Woburn City Council at its Aug. 19 meeting took several procedural and committee actions:
- Saheli petition (special event permit for a domestic-violence awareness walk at Han Pond on Oct. 25, 2025): The council referred the petition to the Committee on Public Safety and License and approved receipt of the communication. The petition included a request to waive umbrella liability insurance; the committee will consider that waiver.
- Onyx Development Group, 120 Commerce Way (payment in lieu of taxes - PILOT): The council's Finance Committee filed a report "ought to pass," and the full council adopted the committee report.
- PeopleFit special event permit (09/27/2025) with waiver of umbrella liability insurance: Committee on Public Safety and License reported "ought to pass" and the council adopted the report.
- Alex Auto Brokers: Committee report recommending approval of a change of name for a second-class motor-vehicle sales license to Alex Auto Brokers Inc at 505 Main Street was adopted.
All committee reports were adopted by voice vote; the transcript records the adoptions but does not provide roll-call tallies for these committee-report votes.
