Greg Puyo Park construction advances; playground, trails and disc golf planned

Staff said earthwork and grading have progressed rapidly and that the main loop, paved walking paths and playground footprint are now in place. The project includes a shelter, picnic areas, trails through the woods and a disc-golf course; the playground and shelter are long-lead items not yet on site. Staff said the project is on schedule for "substantial completion" in June but cautioned that delivery timelines for play equipment and the shelter could push the final opening into the fall. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting are planned for the fall once construction and safety inspections are complete.
The board was invited to visit the site; staff said they will provide updated photos and a construction timeline as the schedule is refined. Parks staff continue to coordinate inspections and safety checks before opening sections of the park to the public.
