Miss Church, director of Community Boards in the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office, told the borough board on May 6 that community board appointments have been finalized and notifications mailed, and that attendance records will be posted on the Community Boards department page of the borough president’s website.
Church said staff prioritized posting the appointment notices in accordance with the borough charter and that attendance records, which have been taken and formatted, will be published next. She acknowledged technical issues with the mailing system that may have caused some residents to receive duplicate notices and asked members to report any constituents who had not received notice.
Church clarified why the website lists a “Community Boards” entry under Departments: the Community Boards department is the administrative office that oversees borough board and borough service cabinet materials, including minutes and attendance records, and that content will appear under that department’s landing page.
Board members did not raise a motion; the director said she would note the discussion in the minutes and continue outreach to resolve the mailing issue.
