The audit ad hoc committee met before the City of Papillion council session on May 6 to review a request for proposals (RFP) for the city's audit services. Councilman Inberg, reporting on the committee, said members made minor date edits and will present the finalized RFP at the May 20 council meeting.
Inberg said the committee will meet in July to review submitted proposals and expects to return a contract recommendation by August 5. "After you make some very minor changes regarding dates and so forth, the May 20 council meeting, they'll be the RFP presented to the council for their review," Inberg said. He added the committee plans to meet in July to evaluate responses and hoped to have a contract proposal by August 5.
No formal council action was taken at the May 6 meeting on the audit contract; the report was provided as a committee update. The timeline provided to the council establishes the next formal review points: council review of the RFP text on May 20, committee evaluation of proposals in July, and potential contract action in early August.
