Muskego-Norway board reelects officers, names committees and delegates during reorganization

The Muskego-Norway School District Board completed its annual reorganization at the May 5 meeting, reelecting Terry Boyer as board president and appointing officers and committee memberships for the coming year.

Board members called for nominations, held three calls per position as the board's process requires, and approved each position by voice vote. Terry Boyer remained board president; Bob Bowman was approved as vice president; Jason Cyborski was approved as board clerk; and Henry Cottony was approved as board treasurer. The board then appointed members to standing committees and named district delegates to external associations.

Committee appointments recorded on the public record included Educational Services: Lori Kotney, Jason Zimborski and Tracy Blair, with Laurie Cottony serving as chair; Policy Committee: Bob Bowman, Kevin Zimmerman and Chris (recorded as "Chris"), with Bob serving as chair; Business Services / Student Experience / Legislative Advocacy Committee: Jason Simorski, Bob Bowman and Chris (recorded as "Chris"), with Jason as chair. The board appointed Chris Saliga as the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) delegate with the board president as alternate, and confirmed Tracy (recorded as "Tracy") as the CESA 1 delegate.

Each election and appointment was approved by voice vote without recorded opposition in the meeting transcript. The board also discussed moving two agenda items (a closed session and item 12b) to the end of the meeting early in the session; membership then proceeded with officer elections and committee appointments as recorded.
