Authority sets budget timeline, notes insurance inspection and forms nominating committee; minutes approved as amended

The Oak Hills Park Authority outlined its budget timeline, reviewed March finances and announced governance housekeeping ahead of the summer budget vote.
Chairman Alan Dutton said the management team will present the operating budget at the May meeting and the authority will vote on the budget in June. "On our next meeting, the operating budget will be presented by Mark Gardner. And then we will actually vote on that particular presentation, on the budget at the June meeting," Dutton said.
Controller Mark Gardner said March financial results "beat budget" modestly and that membership sales had recovered after a weak February; he also confirmed he has booked first-quarter restaurant revenue after receiving the restaurant's utility allocation and revenue-share figures. Gardner said he and department heads have completed the first draft of departmental budgets and capital items and that the full draft will be circulated before the May meeting.
General Manager Jim Holiday reported the property-insurance inspection covered 13 buildings and that some historical field-card data needed correction; Holiday noted the insurance industry is scrutinizing roofs and said replacement of the halfway-house roof was already in the fiscal 2026 capital plan. "It is a very thorough inspection, from the property liability insurance end," he said.
On governance, Chairman Dutton said the authority's executive committee (chair, vice chair and treasurer) is selected by nominations from the authority and that a small nominating committee will be formed with recommendations to be voted on at the June meeting.
The authority moved to accept the minutes as amended; the chair called for the ayes and reported the minutes were amended as stated earlier in the meeting (spelling and wording corrections). The meeting later adjourned by unanimous voice vote.
