The Norwalk Water Pollution Control Authority on April 21 voted to reschedule the public hearing on a proposed sanitary sewer extension at 2 Mueller Avenue to May 19 after city staff said required public notice was not provided in time.
Jeron, a permanent engineer with the Department of Public Works, told the board the applicant and staff failed "to notify the public in the in the timely manner that was required for the policy for the extension and for, some state statutes." He asked the authority to move the hearing to May 19 to give the applicant the time needed to notify the public accurately.
The board voted unanimously to reschedule the hearing. Commissioners did not add substantive comments at the meeting; staff will prepare the required notices and materials for the May 19 hearing.
