The court approved a one‑time extension of the depository contract with First State Bank for the period 06/01/2025 through 05/31/2027. Mr. Bynum explained the county is permitted one extension; the contract preserves an interest rate floor the board had earlier set at 1.5 percent. Commissioner Tully moved to approve with the necessary signatures; Commissioner Richardson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
