Local volunteer announces property now licensed as animal shelter for Clifford's Army Rescue

Tammy Freeman told the Cleveland County Board of Commissioners during the public comment period that her property on Bethlehem Road in Kings Mountain has been officially licensed as a shelter and will help house dogs for Clifford's Army Rescue.
“Now we can concentrate on helping the shelter dogs and helping dogs, Clifford's Army Rescue,” Freeman said, announcing the licensing and thanking volunteers who helped bring the shelter into compliance.
Freeman said the licensing followed hard work by volunteers and that she expects the shelter to reduce attacks on their efforts at public meetings. The board acknowledged receipt of the announcement during the public-comment portion; no formal board action was taken on the licensing during the meeting.
