Board authorizes Culture Amp survey platform, allocates $23,120 for employee engagement program

The Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors voted May 7 to purchase an employee engagement survey platform from Culture Amp and approved a $23,120 transfer from the Board of Supervisors contingency to the county administrator’s budget.
County presenters said Culture Amp offers unlimited modules and flexible survey use for up to 250–300 user seats at an annual cost the board found acceptable compared with single-use alternatives. Staff said the platform supports anonymous employee feedback, exit surveys, ongoing pulse surveys and dashboard reporting. Human-resources staff and trustees said third-party administration would encourage candid responses and provide a baseline to guide future recruitment and retention work.
Supervisor Goad moved the contract authorization and Supervisor Hodge seconded; the motion and a companion budget transfer passed 5-0. Staff said the county will use the platform to collect baseline data and may pursue renewal options in future budgets depending on results and participation rates.
